asTech Connect™ is a powerful single solution for scanning, diagnostics, and calibrations. It works with the asTech device to provide access to 1,000+ OEM diagnostic scan tools in under 60 seconds, and also offers a local quick scan using our OEM-compatible tool.
After downloading the asTech Connect app to your tablet or phone, you can choose from OE, Aftermarket, or Calibration scan options. Aftermarket scans take about 6 minutes on average. The system continually pings the vehicle’s modules to ensure a thorough scan, and we’ve found it detects more faults than other aftermarket tools.
We’re currently running the largest tool project in our history—comparing asTech Connect against OEM and aftermarket scan tools. Example: A 2021 Honda Pilot shows consistent results across all tools. However, a 2018 Accord shows deficiencies in every non-OEM option. Our real-time tool recommendations will evolve as vehicle tech changes, giving shops better margin opportunities on non-OEM scans and removing friction with insurance carriers when OEM tools are used.
